Conference Programme

Main Theme & Sub-themes: The main theme of the conference is "Research Enterprise, Innovation and Entrepreneurship".

The Conference also covers a number of sub-themes in different fields. For the sub-themes please visit the page for Abstract/Paper Submission.

Scope: University leaders from around the world are actively looking to explore new means and ideas of facing the socio-economic challenges presented by higher education. With the value of a degree falling and student numbers entering university declining, leaders are seeking to identify new sources of income for their universities by resorting to innovative measures in teaching, pedagogy and technology. The commercialisation of research and assisting academics to unleash their potential and turn the outcome of their research into profitable ventures is also on the rise. The concept of entrepreneurial leadership is also emerging as a powerful idea to help universities transform themselves into more engaging and entrepreneurial entities within society.

Conference structure: The Conference is to be held over two days, inclusive of main sessions, with key note talks and a number of parallel sessions on specialised themes.

Time: 3rd and 4th August 2015 plus 5th August 2015 as an optional tour of the University of Oxford and Oxford Science Park
